We had several students participate in R-MC’s annual Research Day. The physics department had a morning reception with reports from physics majors on their senior projects. The titles of the talks were:
Connor Cute (Advisor: Professor R. Dominguez)
Optics of Rainbows
Chris Rock (Advisor: Professor G. Spagna)
Electrostatic Generator
Eric Montag (Advisors: Dr. R. Bowles and Professor A. Rice)
Mathematics Underlying Rotational Kinematics
Connor Cute, Chris Rock, Eric Montag (Advisor: Professor R. Dominguez)
Kinetic Energy of Projectiles from a Model Rail Gun
We also had several students present posters at the poster session, including senior engineering physics majors, and students who participated in SURF last summer.
For instance, sometimes the algorithm will use a lower tolerance of distortion when a lower output voltage level is needed. Because of this, they can potentially be a little louder than most of the other electrostatic headphones.
